The Plaque

A plaque with a stepped top, fan corners and a plain raised border. Your handwriting runs across the open field, and a narrow panel at the foot carries a name, a date or two years.

Craftsmanship

Electroformed metal over a sculpted form, finished in antique brass. The writing and the border stand off a dark textured ground at more than one height, so the piece reads as modeled rather than stamped. The metal is bonded to the surface rather than painted or plated, so there is nothing on it to chip, flake or peel.

Sealed under a UV-protective finish, so it holds its color on an interior wall, a covered porch or in a sheltered corner of the garden.

Personalization

Photograph the handwriting flat, in daylight, with the whole note in frame, and we follow it exactly. Or type the message in up to three lines and it is set in the lettering shown. The panel at the foot takes a name, a single date, or two years such as 1952-2026. A design preview comes back by email, and once you approve it the piece leaves the workshop in five to seven business days.

Two or three lines of writing sit well from 7 x 5 up. A longer note wants 8 x 8 or larger.

Mounting

Three ways, chosen at checkout.

• Keyhole slots: two screws in the wall, and it lifts off whenever you want to move it.
• Peel-and-stick tape: sealed strips already on the back. Needs a smooth, clean, dry surface.
• Floating stud mount: threaded studs stand it clear of the wall, so a shadow falls underneath.
