About the Rose Quartz

The pink in rose quartz gets stronger with thickness. A thin edge can look almost white while the middle of the same stone holds a clear dusty rose, which is why a rounded piece shows its deepest color at the crown and pales toward the rim.

The surface is silky rather than glassy, closer to frosted glass than to a gemstone, and that softness is what keeps the pink looking warm instead of bright. Strong direct sun will lighten the color over time.

How It’s Made

This one is rounded and polished rather than faceted, so the front is a smooth dome that fills the hand with no cut edges. The stone is worked from rough, which means the finished size lands anywhere between 1" and 1.5" and each knob keeps its own depth of pink. The metal parts are electroformed, grown onto the form until they carry real thickness and are bonded permanently, rather than a coating that can rub off with use.

No two are exactly alike: each is cut from a different piece of rough, so size, outline and color all move within that range.

Fit and Installation

Made for cabinet doors, drawers and wardrobe fronts drilled for one knob. The 1.75" brass bolt is supplied, so no additional hardware is required to fit it. Tighten with care by hand, and stop as soon as the dome sits firm against the door.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Rose quartz marks under household cleaners and fades in strong direct sunlight, so keep both off it.
