The Stone

Black agate is chalcedony at its densest and darkest. The bands that give agate its name are still there, but they run charcoal against near-black, so from any distance the stone reads as one deep, even color.

Craftsmanship

Each handle is a long upright piece of black agate with a thick electroformed metal edge. Two screws pass through the face. The metal is bonded to the stone rather than painted or plated, so there is nothing on it to chip, flake or peel. Choose gold, silver or rose gold at checkout.

Fitting

Mounts upright on tall doors and deep drawer fronts. Two drilled holes, 4" (10 cm) apart. Tighten the two screws evenly, by hand.
