About the Agate

The sage agates are the quietest stones in this range: a grayed green banded with cream and off-white, closer to a dried leaf than to anything vivid. The bands are usually broad and soft-edged.

Because the tone is low, the stone changes with the light around it, greener by a window and grayer under a lamp. It takes a full polish without ever looking glossy.

How It’s Made

The slice is cut to a tall narrow bar, drilled for two screws and held upright between brass fixings. Its edge is electroformed in thick metallic gold, meaning real metal grown onto the stone and permanently bonded to it, not a leaf or coating that can rub off along the grip. Each bar is cut from its own piece of agate, which is why the four in a set are never a matched run.

Each piece is unique and there will be slight variations in shape and color from one handle to the next.

Fit and Installation

Made for cupboards, cabinets and drawers. Each handle takes two screws of 5.08 cm (2"), spaced 4" (10cm) apart. Tighten them by hand, alternating between the two until both are snug.
