Large Red Agate Cheese Platter/Tray 10"x15"

A long serving board at 10"x15", its face built from separate slices of red agate fitted together, with a metal edge round the outside.

Each slice carries its own rings of banding, some with a pale crystalline center, in red, rust, amber and dark brown, and metal runs in the joins between them.

Every piece uses natural stone, so slight variation in color, marking, shape and size will occur.

Using It

Cheese and crackers, charcuterie, fruit, chocolate. Stone stays cool, which helps a soft cheese hold its shape on a warm afternoon. Cut on a separate board rather than on the stone, so a knife does not leave a line in the polish. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry it. Never the dishwasher. The metal edge will not wear through at the corners the way a plated finish does.
